As Falcon.io grew, they found themselves facing a common problem for scaling subscription businesses: how to stay close to the customer with an expanding customer base.

Falcon.io needed a billing and revenue ledger platform to support their growing business, and the 2500-5000 invoices they were sending per quarter. As their business increased in the U.S., they needed help properly handling sales tax. And, beyond direct support on the financial side, they also needed insight into how their customers were using – and, just as importantly, not using – their service.

They wanted to approach product development strategically. Their goal was to reduce customer churn and create customer brand ambassadors by putting out a product and service that supported the workflow of real customers.

To do this, they needed to know exact usage profiles with real-time monitoring of how customers were using their service. They also wanted insight into key metrics such as ACV (average contract value) and MRR (monthly recurring revenue).
